Evening water

original ink wash drawings

If you seek these drawings in the grid on the homepage,

you will find for each drawing a song that goes along.

The landscapes are painted with home made completely natural paint

made from ashes, charcoal and mountain stone pigment. These paintings can go back to the landscape after their lifetime.

Places to walk into

 to explore

to take root in

 to lean into

 to look up to

to be recognised

 to be nourished by.

For a place can be like a well.

An instant feels of home, a magnetic pull towards the ground.

Giving. Making your energy rise.

You merely need to follow a clear water sound.

“We tend to think of landscapes as affecting us most strongly when we are in them or on them,

when they offer us the primary sensations of touch and sight.

But there are also the landscapes we bear with us in absentia,

those places that live on in memory long after they have withdrawn in actuality,

and such places - retreated to most often when we are most remote from them -

are among the most important landscapes we possess.”

Robert Macfarlane, The Old Ways: A Journey on Foot
